These bold new card and wrapping paper designs caught my eye at the DotCom Gift Shop this week. There are two designs available - the first is "vintage apples" and the second "folkart animals'. Apples are one of my favourite pattern subjects and this one has some really interesting centre motifs. As spotted online here.

Today I am looking at the Christmas 2014 ranges from Wilko. This UK retailer has really focused on design for the last few years and is a great place to look for lights and decorations. They have divided their Christmas offering into collections this year and we begin with Humbug which features bright yellow, magenta, cyan and black along with geometrics for a contemporary feel.

It's December so we can at last start looking seriously at Christmas designs. The first are some terrific new wrapping papers from the Paper & Cloth Studio who are selling their papers through a shop on Not on the High Street. Various members of the studio team have designed the print which including woodland creatures,colourful geometrics and cycling polar bears.

UK based publishers Paper Salad have designed a selection of brand new neon bright gift bags/wraps for Glick who launched them at The Harrogate Home and Gift show last month. The designs were launched at Top Drawer this spring and Silkie at Rosehip hopes to expand the range and grow her Little Dolly character into a mini brand. solitaire have some sweet new designs for spring summer 2013, including this fun foxes and toadstools eco wrapping paper (above and below). they've also introduced a range of age birthday cards for young children, and a new addition to their greetings range of a stylish woodpecker birthday card. available here.

here are a few new wrapping paper designs that caught my eye in paperchase last week. i love this woodland design (above & below) that has the feeling of cut out paper, this is followed by cute, colourful, and loosely painted owls. also shown is a beautiful triangle stripe paper. i'd be happy to see any of these gorgeous prints go through into a full blown range but we'll have to wait and see

we've had the cards, tags, and labels and now here is the wrapping paper from the 2012 christmas designs at cath kidston. the roll wrap is sold as a pack of three and each roll is three metres in length. designed to co-ordinate the designs are holly, deer, and red polka dots.

here are a selection of wrapping papers currently in store at paperchase. they have everything from the dark and stylish 'hinterland' above, to bright and sketchy birthday typography.

uk publishers lagom have recently launched some new products. items include a monochrone wrapping page range called 'bofink owl' (above & below) designed by lagom's kelly hyatt, and new gift wraps by helen dardik. there are also additional designs added to collections by carrie may and ingela p arrhenius using gold and silver foil. see more online at lagom here.

 solitaire have introduced new designs for winter including notebooks, trays, christmas cards and wrapping paper. solitaire's christmas theme is 'partridges and pears', and the new robin card matches an existing wrap. the new tray design is made in sweden, although these are the only things solitaire sell which are made outside the UK. made from sustainable birch wood they are dishwasher safe 

diane allan is a 24 year old surface pattern designer from glasgow in scotland. she is a graduate from duncan of jordanstone dundee, and her ongoing love for pattern and colour inspired diane to start up her own business deesigns, producing a range of original wrapping paper all designed and printed in glasgow. her first collection, some of which are seen here has a range of 8 fresh and vibrant

bristol based publishers betty & dupree specialise in quality cards and paper goods by contemporary illustrators. they have just launched their very first range of gift wrap, comprising of six designs by artist leah duncan from austin, texas. leah takes inspiration from the surrounding landscape, and also her native american roots to create a delicate folk-meets-modern world. see them online here.

i am a big admirer of the work of patrick hruby (who features in the book print & pattern 2) and so i was really pleased to be able to see his take on christmas design. patrick has created a "wrap pack" for wrap magazine who this year have produced three different packs each featuring a sheet of wrapping paper, a card & envelope and 4 stickers to use instead of sticky tape. they've also

top card publishers lagom have just released a new collection of papers designed by the very talented debbie powell. london based illustrator debbie is also featured in the new 'print & pattern 2' book and you can see more wrapping paer designs or read an interview with debbie online at lagom.

fabulous card company belly button designs have teamed up with premium wrapping paper producers penny kennedy. many of you will know that penny kennedy produce ranges for big names like orla kiely, emma bridgewater and carolyn gardner - so these are surely going to be beautiful.

i love this wrapping paper designed and published by peel cards. they also have a lovely graphic range of mosaic cards (below) and bright and colourful age cards. as spotted online here.

i fell in love with this new paperchase wrapping paper over the weekend and had to buy a roll. its a mixture of flat motifs of birds, flowers, mushrooms in a bright and colourful palette. its also available as an organiser and hopefully on more products that i've yet to find.
