Yup, Toon Thursday is back from vacation--needing, of course, a vacation from said vacation, but isn't that always how it is during the holidays? It usually is for me, no matter how hard I try. That's why I have a sort of informal resolution to be a... Read the rest of this post

I just found out that I'm slow and apparently I missed the deadline to register for Teen Read Week (this year's theme is Laugh Out Loud - LOL - and don't miss the awesome-looking website). Via Jen Robinson's Book Page comes all the info.In Cybils... Read the rest of this post

Before I get to the news bits, I just wanted to share a few thoughts (positive, this time, I swear). I just finished reading Markus Zusak's I Am the Messenger and was really blown away...but in a good way. Sometimes I'll read a book I enjoy and it... Read the rest of this post

Feel the love! It's March of the Librarians, a goofy little valentine for the bookish amongst us, inspired by the mystical and deep March of the Penguins. Happy V-Day (0r, as a friend greeted me this morning, "Happy VD!"), to all of the writers of... Read the rest of this post
Ack. Let me try that again.
It was long and exhausting, but so much fun. I think we have a terrific shortlist and can't wait for the world to see it in the morning! I do pity the round 2 judges. It was hard enough narrowing it down to the finalists. I don't know how the judges can possibly pick one of them as a winner!
I'm impressed--you guys had so many nominees, it was unreal!!
I just saw the nominees - love them! (And I think that picture is more than apt. You had a crazy amount to read). A little sad Once a Princess didn't make it, but I didn't expect it to. I just wanted it more widely read. And you even highlighted it here! Made me so happy. Now, go to sleep. You deserve the rest.
