compost pile coming along nicely
Jane made a crocheted bag for a friend
Jane, reading ALL ABOUT WEEDS, gasped with delight: "Mom! It says 'of hind'ring knotgrass made'—I never knew where that came from before!" (It's a line from her Midsummer Night's Dream scene.)
Tom and Jerry cartoon, kids asked what the music was, I looked it up: Die Fledermaus (overture)...which led to much YouTube viewing of clips from the opera, and from there to clips of The Magic Flute (same actress played Queen of the NIght and Adele in Fledermaus)
Rose began a story: My Brave Adventour (an adventure in spelling, too)
