Paddy the pirate was a good person. He wasn't like all the other pirates at all.
His ship was gold and red with huge white sails and he sailed the seas because he liked the water. Really he did!
One day as Paddy sailed his ship, the sky became very grey indeed.
The wind was whistling and the sea was becoming very choppy. Paddy knew that there was a storm ahead. He prepared to ride the waves and was having fun as his ship bobbed up and down on the crest of the waves.
Suddenly, a huge wave swept over his ship and turned it upside down!
The waves tossed Paddy's ship around like a toy and Paddy clung to the handrail as tightly as he could.
"Ooo-er Jim m'lad!!" Paddy shouted as the salty water splashed on his face and soaked him to the skin.
Paddy could feel his hands slipping on the wet rail, and before he could stop himself he had been thrown from his ship into the angry ocean.
"glug, glug, glug" gulped Paddy as the water went in his mouth.
He tried to swim but the waves were too strong and soon Paddy had no strength left to do anything but float!
Paddy woke up and looked around.
"Where am I?" he said out loud.
He could see trees and flowers, grass and birds, and oh! goodness, there were little houses too!
"Eeek! I'm on dry land!" Paddy cried. He stood up and took off his boots.
"Splosh! Splash!" Paddy emptied the water from his boots onto the grass.
He took off his shirt and wrung it out then hung it over a branch to dry.
Paddy looked around him. He cupped his hands to his mouth and shouted as loud as he could.
"Helllllloooooo! Is there anybody here!!!?"
Philip Frog almost jumped right out of the pond! What on earth was all that shouting?
Fuzzy peeked round from behind a tree. Who was making all that noise?!
Buzzy and Bizzy who'd been helping Mrs Bee to stack the honeypots stopped and stared in the direction of the voice.
"Hellllllllloooooo!!" Paddy called again.
Everyone raced to the edge of the woods. This was where the noise was coming from.
"Oh look!" squealed Bizzy as she pointed at Paddy. "A pirate!".
Everyone stared in amazement at Paddy.
"Who are you?" asked Buzzy, sticking his chest out and trying to be very brave.
Bizzy hid behind his back. Pirate's were bad! Bizzy was afraid.
"I'm Paddy the good pirate" said Paddy. *My ship was caught in a storm at sea, and somehow I've landed here. Where is this place I'm standing in?"
Bizzy pulled herself up to her full height and said in a very small voice,
"This is Honeycombe Hill. Did you say you were a good pirate?"
Paddy threw back his head and laughed a hearty chuckle.
"Yes me hearty! I am indeed a very good pirate". He stood with his hands on his hips and Fuzzy could not stop staring at his big black boots with the shiney silver buckles.
"Now then!" said Paddy. "Can anyone help me to get out of here? I really must find my ship before the bad pirates get it and steal my belongings"
The Beezles didn't know what to say, or what to do,.
"I'll go and find Uncle McBuzz" said Bizzy. "or Mrs Bee" and with that she scuttled away.
Uncle McBuzz was snoozing in his comfy armchair at home. He'd had his lunch and decided to have a nap.
"Uncle McBuzz! Come quickly!" cried Bizzy as she knocked on his door.
Uncle McBuzz rubbed his eyes and put his spectacles back on his nose.
Was he dreaming? He was sure he had heard someone calling his name.
"UNCLE MCBUZZ!!!" called Bizzy as she knocked on his door.
"Bizzy my child! Whatever is the matter?" asked Uncle as he opened the door and saw Bizzy shaking in her shoes.
"Oh Uncle McBuzz there's a pirate at the edge of the woods! He said his ship was caught in a storm at sea and he's somehow ended up here! On Honeycombe Hill!!"
"Now now Bizzy, calm down. Let me just get my jacket and we'll go and see this pirate."
Uncle McBuzz thought Bizzy must be seeing things. A pirate here in the garden at Honeycombe Hill? Never!
As they approached the woods, Bizzy and Uncle McBuzz could hear Fuzzy and Buzzy, Philip Frog and Zubby all giggling.
Pirate Paddy ws telling them some stories of his adventures at sea.
He was a funny pirate!
"Hello Sir" said Paddy when he saw Uncle McBuzz approaching.
Uncle McBuzz tipped his hat and smiled.
"Hello young man. I believe your ship was caught in a storm?"
"That's right m'lad. Ive landed here and I don't know how!" Paddy replied.
"I really must be on my way. I have to save my ship from the bad pirate's."
Unlce McBuzz rubbed his chin.
"Right then. If you climb on my back, I can fly you to the ocean and we can search for your ship"
Paddy slapped his leg. "That's the stuff! So when can we go?"
"We can go right now if you wish" said Uncle McBuzz.
Paddy said his farewells to the Beezles and their friends, and waved goodbye as Uncle McBuzz flew out of the garden.
"Oh he was very nice!" said Fuzzy.
"Yes.! And his stories were funny too!" said Buzzy. "I hope he comes back some day soon. I liked him"
Uncle McBuzz flew as fast as he could over the seas until he saw a red and gold ship bobbing about on the water.
This would make for a great bedtime story when he got back to Honeycombe Hill.
As he left Paddy the pirate standing on board his trusted ship, Uncle McBuzz couldn't wait to get back to Honeycombe Hill and tell the Beezles all about it.
Maybe Uncle McBuzz will tell all you boys and girls the story too!!

It was Saturday night at Honeycombe Hill, and tonight was going to be such fun!
Bizzy was hosting a sleepover in her house, and Bizzy's sleepovers were always great!
She had her own little bed that she slept in every night, but Bizzy also had a spare room with two sets of bunk beds. This meant that she could have FOUR friends to sleep over!
She also knew that Mrs Bee would be coming to read them all their bedtime story, but none of her friends knew this, it was going to be a surprise!
Everyone began to arrive about 6 o'clock. There was Zubby, who had brought with him some snacks of mini-honey pots, and Buzzy who had brought some board games to play, and last but not least there was Bazzil, who had brought some comics.
As they all settled down to play a board game, Bizzy told them all that she had a surprise for them.
"Oooo! what is it?" asked Bazzil.
"Well" said Bizzy " you'll all just have to wait and see!"
Bizzy and her friends were having alot of fun at the sleepover. They were having a pillow fight now!
"What's that noise?" asked Buzzy.
"What noise?" said Bizzy.
"There it is again! There's someone at the door!"
The Beezles all went to see who was knocking at the door, and there was Mrs Bee!

"Oh let me in!" she cried "its very windy out here!"
Mrs Bee took off her coat and hat and sat in a chair at the table.
"Well, I hope you have all been behaving yourselves!" she said.
"We have! we have!" shouted the Beezles.
"Right then, everybody brush your teeth and get into bed, for tonight I am going to tell you all a story" she smiled.
"YAY!" shouted everyone. Mrs Bee had a book from when she was a little girl, and the stories in this book were really great!.
Everyone snuggled under the covers of their own little beds and Mrs Bee began to read.
"Once upon a time, a long time ago, there lived a little Eskimo girl.
Her name was Oona, and she lived in an igloo with her pet seal Blub.
Oona's igloo was made from ice. She wore a big white jacket which was very very padded and cosy, and it had a big hood with white fluffy fur round the edge. When Oona wore her hood up, you could hardly see her little face! Oona had black hair, cut in a fringe and it reached her shoulders.Blub the seal had become her friend and they went everywhere together! Blub was white and grey and always had a silly grin on his face. One day, Oona and Blub went fishing. They walked over the icy waters till they came to a small hole. Oona had a little fishing rod, which she used to catch fish with.
Oona lowered the fishing line into the hole, and she and Blub sat patiently waiting for a fish to catch. Eventually, Oona felt the fishing rod tugging and she pulled sooo hard that she almost fell over! They had caught a fish! Hooray! Oona and Blub set off for home. Blub liked fish and so did Oona. When they arrived back at Oona's igloo they cooked the fish and ate it from a shell with their fingers. "Did you enjoy that Blub?" asked Oona. "Yum!" said Blub and rubbed his tummy. Oona laughed. Soon it would be time for bed and they would wrap up in sheepskin blankets and be warm and safe from the icy cold wind. As they settled down to sleep, Oona heard a noise. What could it be? Oona lay very still, listening till she heard it again!
"Blub!" cried Oona "did you hear that noise?"
"Yes I did!" replied Blub. "lets look and see what it is!"
Together they crept to the igloo door and peeped out. It was very windy and there was snow everywhere! Then Oona saw a shape in the distance. It was Pop, the polar bear!
"Oh Pop!" cried Oona, "you gave us a fright!"
Pop said how sorry he was, and told them to go back to bed.
Oona and Blub went back to sleep and in the morning they planned to have another adventure. Can you guess what it will be? "
Mrs Bee put the book down, and tucked everyone in. The Beezles had all fallen asleep during the story!

Did you enjoy that boys and girls?
Milly the Field Mouse was very small indeed.
She lived at the edge of the woods in a little house which had once been a gap at the bottom of a tree, where the roots met the ground.
A door had been added to the gap, and Milly had moved in with her little pieces of furniture and all her belongings.
She tended not to visit the garden too often, but the Beezles knew she was there and visited her now and then.
Milly liked the colour blue. She had lots of blue dresses with various patterns on them. Her favourite was powder blue with a frilly white collar and blue ribbons which tied at the back.
Today, Milly was busy watering her plants. She had many little potted plants on her kitchen windowsill and she really enjoyed looking after them.
"Tra la la la la la" sang Milly.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Who could it be? Milly put down her watering can and wiped her hands on a red and white checked tea towel.
She opened the door and much to her surprise, there stood Fuzzy Wuzzy Bunny.
"Hello Milly" said Fuzzy
"Hello Fuzzy, what brings you here today?" asked Milly
"Oh I was just passing by and thinking it had been a while since I last saw you. I thought I'd stop and say hello!"
Milly was delighted! It wasn't often she had a visitor, except of course for Mr Frog. Mr Frog popped into see Milly most days on his way to the pond.
"come in! come in!" said Milly, as she bustled around Fuzzy and made her very welcome.
Milly put the kettle on and set up a tray with cups and saucers,a sugar bowl and teapot, and two silver spoons.
The cups, saucers, sugar bowl and teapot all matched and were of white porcelain with beautiful blue birds painted on. The teaset was very delicate. In fact perfect for a little mouse like Milly.
The kettle boiled and Milly added the hot water to the teapot along with some herbal tea. She then produced a little white jug from the fridge, filled with frothy white milk.
"Would you like some of my homebaking?" asked Milly.
"Oh yes please" Fuzzy replied.
Milly went to the cupboard and took a gingerbread loaf from it, which she then cut into slices and spread with butter.
"Here you are" smiled Milly.
Milly and Fuzzy sat for a very long time talking about all sorts of things.
They talked about the new swing park on Honeycombe Hill, which Milly had yet to see. They talked about the day that Zubby got sick when he'd eaten too much honey, and they talked about Mr Frog.
Milly liked Mr Frog. She hoped that one day he would ask her to marry him.
"Oh Milly!" squealed Fuzzy. "I didn't know that you liked him THAT much!"
Milly giggled and blushed.
"Well we've been friends for a very long time, and he does visit every single day. I think Mr Frog would make a very good husband indeed!"
Fuzzy couldn't wait to tell Bizzy. Bizzy was her best friend and they told one another everything. Bizzy would be just as surprised as Fuzzy, to learn that Milly liked Mr Frog.
Soon it was time for Fuzzy to go home. She thanked Milly very much for the tea and gingerbread, and gave her a hug as she left.
Fuzzy couldn't run quickly enough to Honeycombe Hill! She wanted to tell Bizzy all about her visit to Milly's house.
Maybe they could set up a meeting for Mr Frog and Milly to go on a date?!
"Oh a wedding would be lovely!" sighed Fuzzy, as she hugged herself tightly, and as she knocked on the door of Bizzy's pink house, she knew that Bizzy would love a wedding too!

Mrs Bee was bustling around in her little kitchen. She was a very busy Beezle indeed.
Tomorrow was the Cake Competition day. This was a special day for all the people in the surrounding gardens. Everyone who entered the competition had to bake the most amazing cake! The winner of the best cake would be presented with a trophy and would have their picture taken.
Mrs Bee sieved theflour into a big bowl. She then added some eggs, one at a time, and beat them into the mixture with a big wooden spoon.
Next she added some butter, then some sugar, and a dash of lemon juice.
She tasted the mixture in the bowl.
"Mmmmm" said Mrs Bee. The mixture was delicious if she said so herself!
Just then, Bizzy and Fuzzy called at the shop.
"Good morning Mrs Bee! What are you baking?" asked Bizzy.
"I'm baking the most special cake for the Cake Competiion!" Mrs Bee replied.
"Can I have the spoon to lick please?* said Fuzzy.
Mrs Bee smiled. Goodness me, if she let Fuzzy lick the spoon, soon everyone would be queing up for a taste of the cake mixture!
"Well, you can put a little on your finger. I dont want you being sick!" said Mrs Bee.
Fuzzy took some of the mixture and put it in her mouth.
"This is lovely!" she exclaimed.
"Now shoo! girls. I've got work to do!" Mrs Bee laughed.
Over the hedge, Henrietta Hen was mixing her flour and eggs. Henrietta was very competitive. She wanted her cake to be the best cake ever, and she wanted to win the competition more than anything else.
If Mrs Bee from Honeycombe Hill won again, Henrietta would be very upset!
Patricia Ladybug was entering the competition too. As was Milly the fieldmouse and Betty the cow.
Doreen the sheep was busy baking too. This was going to be fierce competiion!
Mrs Bee poured the mixture into two round tins. She then placed the tins in the oven and checked the time on the big clock which stood in the little hallway.
"Now then. I've got cream to mix, icing sugar to mix, marzipan flowers to make and a nice piece of ribbon to find." Mrs Bee muttered to herself.
Bizzy and Fuzzy were making daisy chains.
"Let's see who can make the longest chain" said Fuzzy.
Together they sat in the warm sunshine making daisy chains as long as your arms!
"Do you think Mrs Bee would like to use this for putting round her cake?" asked Fuzzy.
"Great idea!" replied Bizzy. "Let's go see if she thinks she could use them".
Fuzzy and Bizzy set off to Mrs Bee's shop. When they arrived Mrs Bee had her head in a cupboard mumbling and tutting to herself.
"Now where did I put those ribbons?" she asked.
"Mrs Bee" said Bizzy.
Mrs Bee almost jumped out of her skin!
"Oh Bizzy! You gave me such a fright! "
Bizzy giggled. "Sorry Mrs Bee. We didn't mean to startle you. We wondered if you would like to use these daisy chains to decorate your cake with?"
Mrs Bee clapped her hands with joy!
"Great idea! Oh goodness, my cake will look so lovely!"
The girls sat down to watch. Mrs Bee had already taken the cakes from the oven and had left them to cool on a wire rack,.
She picked up the bowl with the cream and began to spread it onto the two sponge cakes with a big flat knife.
Then she lifted one of the sponges and sat it on top if the other.
Next, she covered the top of the cake with lemon drizzle icing and ran a fork across it to make it look fancy.
"Oh it looks lovely Mrs Bee" said Bizzy.
Mrs Bee smiled and took the daisy chain. She tied it round the edge of the cake and then asked the girls to fetch her some more daisies.
When Fuzzy and Bizzy returned, Mrs Bee place some of the daisies on top of the cake. It looked absolutely wonderful!
"You've done a great job Mrs Bee" said Fuzzy.
They headed towards the swing park, where Uncle McBuzz had set up a long table with a snowy white table cloth on top.
Patricia Ladybug and Henrietta Hen were already there with their cakes.
Patricia had made a carrot cake and Henrietta had made a chocolate sponge.
The cakes all looked so scrumptious!
Soon, Milly the fieldmouse, Doreen the sheep and Betty the cow came along with their cakes.
The table looked splendid!
Mrs Bee's cake stood out. The daisies and the marzipan buds had made it look really sweet and summery.
Uncle McBuzz moved slowly along the line of cakes, tasting each one as he went.
"Mmm. Delicious! Mmmm. Lovely!" he mumbled as he went along.
This had to be the best job ever! Tasting cakes!
Uncle McBuzz sat on a chair and rubbed his chin. All of the cakes were lovely to look at, although Mrs Bee's looked the prettiest.
All of the cakes had tasted great, but Mrs Bee's sponge was lighter and fluffier than anyone else's.
Uncle McBuzz stood up.
"I hereby declare the Lemon Drizzle cake by Mrs Bee, the winner!"
Everyone clapped and Mrs Bee covered her face with her hands.
She couldn't believe it! Three years in a row she'd won the cake competition!
Henrietta Hen sniffed and shook Mrs Bee's hand "Well done Mrs Bee" she said.
One by one, everyone congratulated Mrs Bee.
Uncle McBuzz took her photograph for the news page of the Honeycombe Hill Gazette and then presented her with the shiney silver trophy.
"Oh this is the part that I like best" whispered Zubby, and Fuzzy giggled.
Uncle McBuzz then cut all of the cakes into slices and laid them on fancy plates.
Everyone got to taste a little of all the different cakes, washed down with some of Milly's homemade orangeade.
"Mmmm. I love cake competition day!" said Zubby and everyone laughed till their sides ached.

Bizzy skipped all the way to Mrs Bee's shop. She was very excited today as the Ladybugs had invited everyone on Honeycombe Hill to join them for a picnic.
The Ladybugs lived just inside the woods next to the garden, in a place called Ladybug Lane.
If you counted, it was exactly five steps from the edge of the garden to the leafy spot where the Ladybugs lived together in their very small house.
Patricia was the eldest ladybug. Then there was Geraldine, Alice, Helen ,Andrina and Nicole.
"Hello Bizzy!" called Mrs Bee.
Mrs Bee had told everyone to meet at her shop and then they would all set off to join the Ladybugs and enjoy the summer sun.
"Hello Mrs Bee! Is everyone here?" asked Bizzy.
"Just waiting for Zubby" Mrs Bee smiled,. Zubby was always late!
Soon everyone was ready to go and off they set towards the woods.
Bizzy had picked some daisies to give to the Ladybugs and Mrs Bee had brought some of her home made lemonade.
As the Beezles entered the woods, all that could be heard was the chattering of the Ladybugs. It was always so noisy at Ladybug Lane!
Everyone chatted and hugged, and then they all sat down to the most amazing feast ever! The Ladybugs knew how to do a picnic, it was truly scrumptious! Patricia Ladybug began to tell a story of a time long ago when Ladybug Lane had been full of little houses and lots of Ladybug families. Patricia was very sad that so many of the Ladybugs had gone, and now there was only six left. Patricia said that maybe some day her relatives would come back and they could build another community, but till then she was happy to invite the Beezles to join them now and then.
Mrs Bee nodded. "I remember when the Lane had at least twenty houses and many many Ladybugs".
Geraldine began to cry.
"Whatever is the matter Geraldine?" asked Patricia.
"I'm sad that there are only six of us left" said Geraldine.
"Oh dear! I didn't mean to upset you Geraldine" said Patricia as she cuddled Geraldine.
"We've got all our friends here on Honeycombe Hill and you know that they can visit whenever they please"
Bizzy told Geraldine that she and the other Ladybugs should come into the garden more often.
"We've got a new swing park and everything!" said Bizzy.
The Beezles all agreed that the Ladybugs should visit at least once a week and then they could all play together.
Mrs Bee and Patricia smiled at one another. Thank goodness for that!
Soon it was time for the Beezles to go home to Honeycombe Hill.
They thanked the Ladybugs for a lovely picnic and then waved goodbye.
"Remember to come to Honeycombe Hill next week!" called Zubby.
"We will!" cried the Ladybugs, and Geraldine skipped all the way back to their little house.
Geraldine was now a happy little Ladybug!

It was a glorious sunshiney day and everyone was at the park.
Mrs Bee looked out of the window of her little shop and frowned.
She could see Bizzy on the climbing frame with Fuzzy, Bazzil on the swing with Buzzy, but Zubby was nowhere to be seen.
Where could he be?
Mrs Bee dried her hands on her crisp white apron and opened the door of the shop.
"Bizzy! can you come here please?" Mrs Bee called.
Bizzy ran to Mrs Bee.
"We are having so much fun Mrs Bee! Thanks again for organising the play park! What's wrong?"
Mrs Bee patted at her apron. "Well, I can't see Zubby anywhere at all and I wondered if you knew where he was?"
Bizzy looked round at the play park. Sure enough, she hadn't noticed till now, but Zubby was not with the rest of her friends.
"Strange" said Bizzy. "Shall I go and check his house?"
Mrs Bee nodded. "That would be great Bizzy. I'm a little worried. It's not like Zubby to be indoors on a day like this"
Bizzy ran quickly to Zubby's little purple house. She knocked on the door and waited. She knocked again and still Zubby did not open the door.
Bizzy peered in the window. There was no sign of Zubby at all. She called his name. "Zubby! Zubby! open the door" and still no-one came.
Bizzy was wondering what to do next, when suddenly she heard a faint little groan coming from Zubby's house.
She tried the handle of the door and it opened. Bizzy went inside and opened the door to Zubby's bedroom.
There he was. Under the duvet and moaning and groaning.
"Zubby! what's wrong?" asked Bizzy.
"I ate too much honey I think and my tummy hurts. Ooh!"
Bizzy did not know what to do.
"You stay right here Zubby and I will fetch Mrs Bee. She'll know how to help you!"
Bizzy ran as quickly as she could to tell Mrs Bee about Zubby's sore tummy.
Mrs Bee didn't look surprised at all. "I knew he had done something silly like this!" she exclaimed when Bizzy told her the news.
"He had 5 jars of honey in his shopping basket yesterday. I'll give him some of my special medicine and see if that helps"
Mrs Bee put on her coat and placed a bottle of her special medicine into her little wicker basket. Off she went to Zubby's house with all of the Beezles hurrying behind her.
Mrs Bee pushed open the door of Zubby's house, and went into the bedroom. Zubby was curled in a ball groaning very loudly indeed!
"Now now Zubby" said Mrs Bee. "You will have to sit up and take some of this medicine. Come on now, it will help you to get better"
Everyone stood in the room and watched as Zubby struggled to sit up, and Mrs Bee poured some of the medicine onto a silver spoon and then into Zubby's mouth.
"Yeuch!" squealed Zubby "it tastes horrid!"
Mrs Bee tucked him into bed, and turned to the other Beezles.
"I hope everyone here has learnt from Zubby's mistake. Too many snacks can make you sick" and she turned and went back to the shop.
Bizzy,Buzzy, Fuzzy and Bazzil all told Zubby that they hoped he felt better soon. They told him that as soon as he felt better they would all be waiting for him at the play park.
Zubby gave a weak smile. "I can feel the medicine working already"
Bizzy smiled and closed the door gently. What a silly Beezle! Imagine eating all that honey in one day!
Have you ever eaten too much at one time?
I hope not!

Mrs Bee had alot to do. Today was the day that the new swing park was to be built at Honeycombe Hill.
As she tied her apron strings round her little chubby waist, Mrs Bee hummed a tune while she busied herself in the kitchen.
She heard the sound of the delivery truck driving along the path .
"Morning!" called the driver. "Delivery for Mrs Bee"
Mrs Bee stepped outside and showed the workmen where everything had to go.
There was a slide, a roundabout, four swings and a climbing frame. There was also lots of sand and a fence.
It was going to be quite a day!
The workmen began digging holes and fixing the climbing frame to the ground with cement. Next, they did the swings and the roundabout.
The Beezles had come to watch the work going on, and the noise from the machinery was making everyone's ears hurt!
Buzzy shouted above the noise "I'M HUNGRY!"
The other Beezles nodded in agreement and they went inside Mrs Bee's shop and sat at a little table.
"Phew" said Zubby "my ears hurt! It's so noisy out there"
Bizzy agreed and said that it would be worth it in the end as they would all have somewhere to play now.
"I can't wait to see it finished" said Bazzil.
"I know!" replied Bizzy "I'm going to ask the workmen if we can help to paint the fence. What colour do you think we should paint it?"
"I say red!" said Bazzil.
"Blue!" shouted Buzzy.
"Hmm. I think yellow" said Mrs Bee. "that way it will stand out nice and brightly for all to see"
Bizzy agreed. "I'm going to ask now!" and she skipped out of the shop towards the workmen.
"Hello" said Bizzy to the workmen. "Can we help to paint the fence?"
"Of course!" said the workman with the blue dungarees. He looked like a jolly man and had a big moustache and red cheeks.
"We will let you know when it's time to start the painting" he smiled at Bizzy.
Bizzy hugged herself. She loved to paint!
Soon the swingpark was complete. The fence went all the way round so that the swings and slide, roundabout and climbing frame were fenced off from the rest of the garden.
The Beezles each had a paintbrush that the jolly workman had given them and they began to paint the fence.
"This is fun" cried Bizzy. "I like the colour yellow. It's like the sunshine"
Mrs Bee smiled. Yellow was indeed a very sunshiney happy colour.
Soon the painting was complete and everyone stood back to admire their handywork. The new swing park looked very grand indeed!
Mrs Bee and the Beezles waved goodbye to the workmen and everyone ran to the park.
Bizzy was having great fun on the slide, Bazzil was on the roundabout, and Buzzy and Zubby were swinging as high as they could.
"Oh thankyou Mrs Bee!" called Bizzy as she whizzed down the slide for the hundredth time.
The swing park had been built with the money from the fete and now Mrs Bee could watch everyone having fun as she worked in her little shop which overlooked the park.
As she sat in her little rocking chair, humming her favourite tune, Mrs Bee felt happy that the Beezles had their very own swing park at last!

Mackenzie was the little boy who lived over the hedge at Honeycombe Hill.
He'd been to the garden on several occassions, but it had been a very long time since he had visited The Beezles.
The last time Mackenzie had visited, it had been to help Chewy, who had fallen down a hole.
Mackenzie was a lovely boy and the Beezles liked him very much. He was their friend and was welcome in the garden any time at all.
Today, Mackenzie was playing with his friend David in the garden outside his mummy's house.
They were playing on the swing and the slide. Then they played a game of football, but soon Mackenzie and his friend got bored.
"What can we do now?" asked David.
"Well" said Mackenzie "we could ask my mummy if it's alright to crawl under the hedge"
"Why would we want to do that!?" asked David.
"Well, it's a secret" said Mackenzie. "wait there till I ask my mummy if it's ok, and then I'll show you"
Mackenzie ran to the house and asked his mummy if it was alright for him to visit the Beezles. His mummy said yes and told him not to be too long.
David waited patiently for Mackenzie to return, and when he did, they set off to the hedge at the bottom of Mackenzie's garden.
"Now you've got to lie flat on your tummy"said Mackenzie, "and then wriggle forwards until you are under the hedge and in the next garden"
David and Mackenzie wriggled and wriggled until they were lying on their tummies in the garden of Honeycombe Hill.
"What's this?" asked David, as he screwed up his eyes and looked around.
"This is where my friends live, come on, I'll show you!"
Together David and Mackenzie walked a little until the roof of a little pink hive came into view. Then a purple roof, and a yellow roof and a little shop with a thatched roof.
David gasped and stood still,.
"Who lives here!?" he asked Mackenzie.
Mackenzie smiled.
"Well, there's Bizzy, she lives in the pink house, and Zubby, he lives in the lilac house, and Mrs Bee lives in a little room above the shop"
The boys walked to the shop and entered through the little green door.
"Oh hello there Mackenzie!" said Mrs Bee. "Who is this you've brought to see me?"
"This is my friend David" said Mackenzie. "Where is everyone else?
"Oh they'll all be here in just a minute or two no doubt!" Mrs Bee replied.
Mackenzie and David sat down at a little toadstool table and Mrs Bee brought them cookies and milk.
"There now" she said "you just sit there and enjoy those cookies, fresh from the oven, and The Beezles will be here real soon"
"How do you know they will come?" asked David.
"Aha!" said Mrs Bee. "They will smell the cookies that I've just baked and, oh! here they are!"
David looked in amazement as Zubby,Bazzil,Bizzy and Buzzy entered the shop.
"Hello everyone!" said Mackenzie, and the Beezles all gave Mackenzie a hug.
"Hello Mackenzie! who is this you have with you?"
"This is my friend David" said Mackenzie.
"HEllo David" Bizzy smiled at him
Everyone introduced themselves to David, who had suddenly gone rather shy. David could not believe that the Beezles actually lived in the garden under the hedge, next door to Mackenzie's garden.
David thought Mackenzie was very lucky indeed to have such lovely friends living right next door to him.
Everyone sat and chatted for a while until Mrs Bee asked Mackenzie if his mummy knew where he was.
"Oh goodness me!" said Mackenzie. "my mummy said not to be long, we'd better get back or she'll be worried"
Mackenzie said goodbye to his friends, and he and David crawled back under the hedge into Mackenzies garden.
"You are ever so lucky" said David.
Mackenzie smiled to himself and agreed with David.
He was indeed a very lucky boy to have such lovely friends as the Beezles!
