134. Doodle Bites by Polly Dunbar

Doodle Bites is part of Polly Dunbar's Tilly and Friends series. Doodle, an alligator, is feeling very bitey. Unfortunately for Trumpty's tail, Doodle just can't control himself. Trumpty retaliates by stomping on Doodle's tail, which hurts, since Trumpty is a large elephant. Doodle and Trumpty eventually make up and are fast friends again, and they learned how to be better friends to each other along the way.
Dunbar's Story and illustrations are cute and clever and pre-schoolers will adore this book, and the others in the series.

135. Roger the Jolly Pirate

Although Roger tries to be a proper buccaneer, he is inevitably sent below deck whenever there is serious marauding to be done. When the Admiral attacks the ship, Roger is once again sent to the hold. In an attempt to win the favor of his crew mates, he bakes a cake in a cannon he mistakes for a pot. The explosive result-Roger flying above deck amid flour, smoke, and powder, looking exactly like a screaming skeleton-sends the Admiral's men leaping off their vessel convinced that the pirates have a ghost on their side. In recognition of his feat, his shipmates stitch up a flag that has gone down in history as the "Jolly Roger."...
A funny and clever pirate tale...

149. The Seals on the Bus by Lenny Hort

This adaptation of the classic "Wheels on the bus" song will leave kids giggling and and singing.  Somehow the passengers and drivers on this particular bus have been replaced and overrun with animals, and the pattern of the song allows for each animal's sound to be enthusiastically repeated.  Roughly penciled and cut-paper illustrations by G. Brian Karas complete the picture of a bus-ride gone awry.
