106. Branching Out

I took a little trip back to my childhood passion of sewing. With a baby on the way I've got new inspiration and plenty of motivation.

While babysitting my younger siblings last week I sat down with one of the books they brought home from the library. A fascinating book all about the different kinds of horses.

113. Lovely Terror

We've decided to name our first child Edward. He's coming sometime early this May. This weekend I played around with his name and ideas for a book of his very own. I will most likely wait to finalize the idea until after the little sweetheart arrives and reveals more of his personality. This idea is based more on my husbands and I's personality types and my best guess at what the outcome will be.

I do realize that this particular drawing looks a little too much like Sendak's lovely terror from "Where the Wild Things Are" for me to actually use in the end, but it was fun to draw nonetheless.

123. Art Class

I recently started teaching art lessons on Tuesday nights in Snohomish. Last night the husband posed for my class. He did a marvelous job, only taking one short break during the 1.5 hour sitting! One of my students gave me the preliminary sketch for her painting. She is 8 years old and I think she did a wonderful job!

The class is all ages and open to anyone who would like to come if you would like more information feel free to e-mail me anytime.
