More finds! While working on the exhibit, I found this promotion from the 1990's.
With all the recent inquiries about the strip, I'm thinking of updating it.
The Grandparents comic strip was about Baby Boomer's coming of age...the "Granny Age," but it wasn't just about being a grandparent!
It included a humorous look at health & physical changes, romance, career, and being part of another generation, "The Sandwich Generation," which dominates many of our lives.

I spent the day signing books and doing book related art activities with the kids. Hundreds of kids stopped by!
Met lots of budding artists!

The gallery area still needs work --maybe in the Spring. The secret room behind the closet is now storage for original art.

Spent most of yesterday removing tacks and staples from the floor. Marked off the rest of the floor squares to paint. Must be done by Tuesday.
All the flat files of original art are stored in the secret room behind the closest....
Hopefully next week, I can start pulling more art for framing for the retrospective next month.

Southern view from the studio. Pennsylvania is just over the hill. The mild weather changed today --lots of wind and snow-- so it was difficult to paint in oils with the windows closed.
Made some progress with the floor. The first half of the room is almost done.

Phase one of the floor is working. Next... the white squares...then 3 coats of urethane.

This week we move into the next phase of home renovations-my 3rd floor studio. We divided the room in half--storing all studio equipment etc. at one end. So far this week, I pulled up half of lime green shag carpet; primed drywall and 114 year old plaster and painted all the built-ins at this end of the room--desk, bookcase, wide paper shelving and drawers.
Today I hope to make progress with the floor. The original plank flooring was leveled with sub-flooring and is divided into 2'x2' squares ready to paint.
