Hi Tracy,

I wish I still lived in Encinitas, 'cause I would jump at that space. Oh well.

How do I find out if my published books are on my JacketFlap space? I need to get my son to jelp me figure out how to upload a picture, bio and whatever else. Your help is appreciated. I am not as computer literate as my kids are!

Thanks for contacting me. I'm glad to check in with the network from time to time and hope no one will take offense if I don't reply to friend invitations--I don't mean to be unfriendly; I am trying to finish some projects and budget my time.

Hi Tracy
I'm new here. I cannot for some reason choose a 10 character name...it seems to be locked in the profile.
I think I have a lot to learn about this site.
I have never published but have written several childrens' book and also a nonfiction narrative story about drug and alcohol addiction. Nothing has ever been sent out to a publisher.

Ms. Tracy,

Forgive the laughter. I am the eldest of a large family your site is much like walking into a large family gathering.

You can do it! Your site is attempting to bring back the joy of knowledge to the innocence of the true Writer's Heart.

Comment by Lisa Smith on 8/8/2008 11:45:35 AM:
Tracy-what you are doing is just superb-there is no other word that can describe the gentility and sparkle you bring to this venture! JacketFlap is just one of the coolest social networks EVER. I went to the recent SCBWI Conference in L.A. It was hard on me physically and my brother had just passed away-so things didn't have the same "high" one would have expected-but the feedback and portfolio presentation and picture book show and the wonderful, wonderful people I met soothed my hurt some. I had to scramble a lot-but being new-I think that is just part of the excitement and wonder. Someday perhaps I can come to L.A./CAL.and say "Hi!" to you personally at one of your functions-that would be a treat! Anyway-long comment but I wanted you to know I am blessed to have found your amazing website-THANKS! No need to reply-I just wanted to let you know how much I really do appreciate you-just like everyone else here!

Tracy, I am not a published author, but working on it. I have some childrens books in rough draft and am ignortant on how to go about publishing. After searching sites I am overwhelmed with all the info. I had tree damage to my house and it was quite severe so my books were put on hold. Not until about Oct. will I be able to get back into it and going. Thanks lady! Lin

hi tracy, thanks for the message, I am the mother of two grown girls and two little grandchildren, one a boy of four and a girl of
seventeen months. I am an exhibiting painter
and when in my twenties trained as an illustrator at Goldsmiths college London university. I have illustrated several works for different publishers and the last being HBJ before they closed down their firm in Australia.

I am planning to get back to more illustrating work as I have been a full time painter with an MFA for the past ten years or so. I have put a pic of self on the site and one illustration! ..

best wishes...............tanya
