Italy's Input Group Lands in North America. The First Office Opens in New York! March 1st, 2013. You'd think after all these years there'd be nary a stitch of clothing left to hawk from Marilyn Monroe's wardrobe. But, sure enough, a pair of bloomers that the famous blonde bombshell wore in the 1954 movie "River of No Return" went for $44,800 at a recent memorabilia auction at a Beverly Hills gallery. The underwear came from the estate of Allan "Whitey" Snyder, Monroe's longtime personal makeup artist.

Introduction:
On February 23rd, 2012, the US Copyright Office issued the first Certificate of Copyright Registration (#PA0001773872/2012-02-23) for a virtual actor, VM2 - The Virtual Marilyn, officially confirming the copyright perfected in 1996. The Marilyn Monroe "persona" created by Norma Jean Dougherty has been officially recognized as a computer generated personality. Digicon Media LLC is the holder of exclusive licensing rights to the newly registered copyright and confirms that VM2 as a virtual actress adopting the persona of Marilyn Monroe is a milestone in the convergence of Hollywood, Madison Avenue and the Internet. Through live motion capture and computer generated imagery and animation, Digicon Media will develop VM2 as a virtual actor, singer, model, spokesperson and cultural figure with the interaction of a global audience linked through social media networks.

While VM2 was officially created in 1996 when SONY hired her to host a Global Distributor's Conference as the best example of what the future of avatar based computing looked like, the computer technology and internet capabilities, including social media networking, did not reach a critical mass to launch VM2's career until now.

Paul Bost, an attorney for the Estate of Marilyn Monroe, described VM2 as "wholly recreating Ms. Monroe to serve as a model and actress lending her cache derived from and based on Marilyn Monroe's persona to whatever product or service she appears on behalf of."

Creating VM2
We use existing imagery of Marilyn Monroe combined with a variety of award winning, state of the art creative and technological approaches to create VM2. 1. Motion capture, motion tracking, or mocap refers to recording actions of human actors, and using that information to animate digital character models in 2D or 3D computer animation. When it includes face and fingers or captures subtle expressions, it is often referred to as performance capture. 2. Computer generated imagery (CGI) is the application of the field of computer graphics or, more specifically, 3D computer graphics to special effects in art, video games, films, television programs, commercials and printed media. The visual scenes may be either dynamic or static.

History
Digicon Media is pioneering the development of global branded avatars, virtual actors and "synthespians". It was originally founded in 1995 in Los Angeles, CA as Digicon Entertainment, creating one of the first interdisciplinary media companies combining award winning creators, producers, directors and writers from feature films, television, advertising agencies and the newly emerging internet space - the world wide web - to develop innovative, engaging and interactive content for all media.

16. Doing Something For The First Time


David Lee Roth & Van Halen ask in "The Trouble With Never" - "When was the last time you did something for the first time?" Think about it!

Saturday night, prior to seeing Silence - The Musical, (the unauthorized parody of Silence of the Lambs - www.silencethemusicalnyc.com/), Val and I went to dinner at Matilda Restaurant, (www.matildarestaurant.com/) a restaurant that serves up TUSC-MEX, Tuscan/Mexican cuisine. We started off with a Tortilla Pizza, 1/2 shrimp, 1/2 jalpenos. Val's entre was RAVIOLI IN SALSA DI HUITLACOCHE - goat cheese, whole wheat ravioli in a creamy huitlacoche, corn and pico de gallo sauce. I had LASAGNA DE TORTILLAS - flour tortilla lasagna with besciamella sauce, mozzarella, parmigiano and a beef bolognese-chipotle sauce. Service/food was great!

Executive Producers David Lyons, Andrew Bishop (Lyons Entertainment) and Dennis Gelbaum (ramp it up entertainment) have signed an exclusive agreement to develop a reality television, web and mobile-based series tentatively titled “Almost Famous" with Bernadette Brennan (CEO and Owner of Nightlife Productions).

Executive Producer Dennis Gelbaum comments: "This is a character driven series in an industry where there is no shortage of outrageous personalities who all want to be famous. Throughout the series, we'll follow Bernadette (and her staff) as she conducts her daily business and witness up close and very personal - all the craziness and drama that surrounds her - working with existing clients, (recording artists, record labels, corporate execs…), operating a recording studio, on the set of music videos, photo shoots, attending live performances and consulting/managing some of today's most promising up and coming independent artists - as she helps them launch their careers."

The concept needed to be refined, restructured and developed even further. I asked one of my assistants to research production companies and she called David Lyons, the President/Executive Producer of Lyons Entertainment and pitched the concept. David was interested so I decided to call David myself and see if we had 'chemistry'. We hit it off almost immediately and he asked if I could speak with one of his partners, Dennis Gelbaum in New York. The next day Dennis called me, we chatted for over an hour and discussed the plan for success. I was so pleased when I spoke with Dennis, who I knew had what it took to drive this show home. All three of our companies did a deal and the rest is history."

Can we help them find their way - or is it too late?

We have all thought about it - what could have been, the what ifs and what I should have done and how those decisions and actions (or in-actions) impacted our lives. "I Could Have - I Should Have" will be engaging, emotional, motivational, inspirational, humorous and more...

So, Zabar's Lobster Salad has no "lobster" in it! Should we be worried about the Chopped Liver?

And speaking of chopped liver, this could be the best recipe ever! (Grandma's Chopped Liver recipe...)
Ingredients
* 2 pounds chicken livers, rinsed and trimmed
* 2 eggs
* 3 onions
* 1 quart water
* 2 cubes chicken bouillon
* 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
* salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Place the liver, whole eggs and one onion into a large saucepan with the water. Bring to a boil and stir in the chicken bouillon cubes. Simmer for one hour, then allow to cool. Note: Some prefer to start off with sautéing the liver - that's always an option...
2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Chop one onion and fry in the oil until tender. Chop the third onion and set aside. When the liver has cooled, grind together the liver, hard-cooked eggs and the three onions. Season with salt and pepper. Chill before serving.
