My Dream has always been to write a meaningful and inspiring Children's book. I wanted to write something that children could come away with a positive message. So I chose to write a book encouraging children to make new and diverse friendships. Differences do not have to be scary and I have always encouraged my own child to embrace diversity. "The Many Colors of Friendship" was inspired by my own daughter, Katherine, who is now 7. I have always enjoyed Art and took every class possible in school and college; so decided the best way to get my ideas across the way I wanted, was to illustrate the book as well. It turned out to be the most rewarding experience possible and I am very proud to share my book with everyone. If one child comes away with a positive message, it will have been well worth it!! I live in Central, MN with my loving husband of 12 years, Dan; my incredible daughter, Katherine, who is 7; and my two entertaining and lovable little pups, Kasper and Koko Bean. This past Fall, my child's elementary school purchased books for their classrooms and library which made me feel appreciated. St.Cloud State University in MN, also purchased some for their Human Relations classes. I just feel so blessed and humbled by this entire experience.
