As a nature artist/illustrator I am "wild" about art -- especially art that involves children and nature, and their interaction with the exciting world around them.
My style is primarily figurative, but it is determined by the subject matter.
I work in acrylics, watercolor, colored pencils, pen-and-ink, as well as many of the wonderful mixed media products on the market today. My inspiration comes from the children in my life and from my own own childhood. I have been told that my images are lyrical, and express beauty and harmony.
I believe in the creative process and enjoy sharing this with others. Classes are offered through my home studio, Blue Heron Art Studio, which is located on beautiful Lake Gaston, in North Carolina.
