By day, I'm a former art student and current homeschooling mother of 3, pursuing a career in illustration. By night, I'm a Barnes & Noble Bookseller. It can be a challenge to juggle all of that right now, but the kids are growing FAST! So, I spend my free time (BOTH minutes) drawing, painting, and adding to my portfolio.

Hey Diana, thanks for the reply. I will enjoy the kids while they are young... it's amazing what they do from day to day. This morning , my soin discovered his shadow, he was dancing with it, chasing it.... great fun.

Pencil is my best medium too, though right now I'm taking a painting class to see if I can work with other mediums (namely ones that include color).

yes I not only survived homeschooling my children but wanted to add that even though many times I felt like It was inadequate, they have all gone on to excell in their pursuits, including college.
