Also, I am looking for a publisher, any information that may help me would be appreciated. Marketing is one of the most difficult parts of publishing a book. I have in place an existing marketing program that will be ongoing as the future stories of the "I wish" books are released.

Welcome to "I wish a fish." I hope you enjoy my STORY. As you read my story on page two you will see there are no drawings or illustrations. I am hoping you can help me. I HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE A CONTEST!!!!! Read the story and submit your drawings and or illustrations. This contest is open to children up to the age of 18.

Contest Rules: Submit 1 drawing or illustration. It can be handdrawn or illustrated on the computer. Your drawing should reflect a part of the story. Please identify what part of the story you are drawing. Art work needs to be submitted by Sept. 1st, 2008. Submit via email, [email protected] or the U.S. mail at, I wish a Fish, p.o. box 1691 Sunset Beach, CA 90742
Prize: $1000, and the opportunity to illustrate the entire book. Compensation for the entire book illustrations to be negotiated. Winners will be notified via telephone and mail. Please make sure you include your phone number and mailing address with all correspondence. All submitted artwork will not be returned. All submitted artwork becomes property of I Wish a Fish book.

I wish a fish was someone I knew
Then I could swim the ocean blue
If I could swim like fishes do
Then I would swim about with you
What fun we’d have my fish friend and I
Swimming about beneath the blue sky
Not a care in the world
As you can see
Swimming about my fish friend and me
We’d meet fishes friends
And eat fishes food
Now that would put me
In a good fishes mood
Playing fun fishes games
And learning new fishes names
Its all very different
Its not at all the same
We’d visit far off fish places
And see funny fish faces
They would make us feel right at home
And sleeping at night
There would be no time for fright
For we would never be left all alone
Some new things I learn
Like fish soccer and all
I’m not sure how well I may do
Swimming upside down
Dressed like a fish clown
How fun, its all so brand new
When you are a fish
You can swim far and wide
You can swim with the tide
You can swim up and down
You can swim round and round
You can swim here and there
You can swim anywhere
My fish time is over
I will never forget
My fish friend and all of our fun
He showed me new places
And friendly fish places
But my fish friend adventure is done

Sasha is a children's story about a sad ferret who goes looking for a friend. It is in several formats: children's book book with written text and illustraiton; book with written text and CD of music and spoken narration, DVD, containing written text, spoken narration, still and semi-animated iillustrations, and accompanying music (like Peter and the Wolf). We want to promote this project in its several different forms.You can see Sasha in 3 segments on the UVU portal. Hit classics; hit kids and family, on the bottom of page 1 and top of page 3, is the 3 segments of The Life and Times of Sasha, the Sad Ferret.

Please look at my jacketflap bio and my published works. We have several other projects in the works.What we are really seeking is an agent who can handle all or most of our projects. My name is Suzy, penn name is Penny Hart. Please read my profile under suzyQ, The profile briefly talks about my manuscript. If you would allow me to send you a query letter re: my manuscript, I would be very appreciative. The story has a lot of commercial value to it,(movie, t.v. series similar to slumber party on CBS, clothing and toys). The book is interestint to 5-11 year olds, but I have read it to adults that have found it captivating as well. There is a lot of factual information, but it is a lovely story told in animal genre, but it applies to children. The story discusses homelessness, abuse, being bullied, being loved, finding a forever home, and living in a diverse world with understanding and tollerance. The storyline of permanent loss is told with spirituality and gentleness, but since loss is a part of life, I decided to include it.
