About suzy
I have written a childrens book in the genre of an animal tail (tale).Young readers will be captivated by stories that come to life of circumstance, difference, disability and challenge that many of us, both children and adults, have experienced. As the seasons change at the comfy red barn, readers learn that through embracing life’s challenges, acceptance of change and making sound choices a happier life can be achieved!
The tale of “The Comfy Red Barn” is motivational inspiration for children and families facing difficult challenges in today’s world. In a gentle way geared toward young readers the subjects of change, abuse, illness, accidents and loss are discussed with compassion and understanding to help prepare them for, and cope with, real life challenges.
“The Comfy Red Barn” is 22,828 words, written in fifteen chapters of animal tales and intrigue appropriate for readers ages
This book deals with diversity, abuse, being handicapped, love, secruity in finding a forever home, resoving many real life situatons, loss and death (told in a very gentle way) and getting along with everyone, no matter what country they are from. The book is easier to understand for children if told in the guise of animals, but actually relates to real life experiences of children. I know my subjects well, they are all my own animals, from a Dog that we adopted with 3 legs, an abused Arabian Stallion with only one eye to a Nubian Goat and a pair of Peacocks. Everyone learns to get along together in the barn, and learns important lessons about each other and their life situatons. I am trying to find an agent to help me get this important and interesting book into print, so that children can understand that we are all one in this world, and need to learn to live together. We don't need to tolerate bullies, insults and an unhappy life, we can share happiness and joy in a diverse world.
