Steven Withrow is a poet, writer, teacher, editor, and author or coauthor of six instructional trade books meant for visual artists and storytellers: Toon Art, Webcomics, Character Design for Graphic Novels, Vector Graphics and Illustration, Secrets of Digital Animation, and Illustrating Children's Picture Books. Steven is the co-producer, with director Edward J. Delaney, of an in-progress, feature-length documentary film about children's literature titled The Library of the Early Mind. He has studied creative writing, print and digital publishing, and journalism at Roger Williams University and Emerson College and has taught media writing and children's literature at Rhode Island School of Design and Suffolk University. His poems and stories have been published in numerous print and online literary magazines and comics anthologies. He lives with his wife and daughter in Rhode Island.
