Here is an excerpt from Angelicus:

     Ivy and Ziggy had returned. Ivy, fascinated by the Professor's words asked, "What's Quantia, Professor Angelicus?"
     "Why, Quantia is the Rainbow Planet. You could say it's in the center of the universe, in the flash between moments of time and space. It was created out of water and light, at the very place where the light meets and shimmers off the water. Some of us call it the Land of Sparkle. You can look into the windows of Quantia from here. You can see it from almost anywhere, if you look hard enough."
     "We can?" cried the children, "How?"
     In a gentle voice, he pointed: "Look at the sun sparkling on the river. Look at the dewdrops glistening on the trees. Walk through a puddle of rain, and when the sun comes out, you'll see it! You can even see it in the eyes of your fellow earthlings when they laugh!” And with that, he let out the deepest, heartiest laugh the children had ever heard, and his eyes began to twinkle like a thousand blue stars on a clear winter night.

That's a really thoughtful comment about writing humor. I'm going to keep it and meditate on it much.
Yes, I do see funny things in life, things that aren't even there (just in my head.) And I see a lot of dark/black humor in the worst of conditions.

It's been hectic here. I've been in the process of selling a house and moving to two different other houses in two towns hours apart. Very, very long story. But this move has taken me from March to November. It's finally finalized. Yay... more

It was nice hearing from you. My life has been busy with working on line as I begin to begin to learn how to make $$$ there/here. Everybody in this area of SW Ohio has had major problems with loss of electric for the past 10 days. It seems like we got hit by Ike (the Hurricane from Texas) all the way up here. In fact there has never been anything like it before. All's getting back together again but some people just got their electric back yesterday - tornados are expected around here but never ever a hurricane this far inland. It was weird we got up to 85 mile per hour wind but NO RAIN!! Unbelievable. I was lucky in that friends of mine who only lost electric for less than a day were here and took most of my freezer stuff to keep for me. I know of others who lost $600.00 to $800.00 worth of food. Many of them also lost food that they had grown and frozen - I live out in the country. All is well now.

Hi Melinda: I didn't have horses until about 4 years ago, While I always wanted one (and now I have 3!) I never really thought I would have one. It's a big responsibility, not just because of the feeding/grooming/farriering/vet stuff, but because it takes regular and courageous attention and effort to have a strong, trusting, and especially safe partnership with your horse. The biggest thing it takes? Ya gotta get over yerself!!! My horses bring me blessings every day, much of which involves learning about where I need to improve myself! Well, enough about horses, except that I LOVE the way they smell, esp. after they've just eaten their hay, and I find it hard to not kiss my horses on the nose at almost every opportunity I get (unless they're being naughty!!).

It is rough and I have hit many walls but I keep saying to myself, "how many other people have been assaulted by these guys/" and that gets me right back on the horse. I actually have tried three times to get a note off to you but the internet doesn't always work late in the evening here in the City. At least on the Upper West Side it doesn't So I'm happy to be able to get this off. I had better say "see ya," before it cuts me off.
