I love your bio. I myself am on and a half books away from finishing my adventure series. writing for kids is fun. Their are times you get to sink to their level. It's not hard for this 38 year old.

Hi Charlie,
Yes New Zealand is a beautiful place and the people are friendly. Though I think the Irish are friendlier personally, hehe.
I read on your profile that you write. I admire that ability. Personally I have an imaginative mind but a poor sense of communicating it through pap... more

Charlie, I googled it and got nothing, too, but if I just type in jalmabarrett.com--without going to google first--I get my site (and others do, too). Don't know what's wrong with google. Thanks for trying. J Jalma

Writing magazine articles is on my agenda too. It appears JacketFlap will play a part in my present and... more

I think my life is a little less glamorous than I let on. But I love that you appreciate the value of women.

Hi Charlie,
Thanks for the comment and yes, I search through the Wikipedia and the mushroom I used in the illustration in a poisounos one:"Amanita muscaria, commonly known as the fly agaric or fly Amanita, is a poisonous and psychoactive basidiomycete fungus, one of many in the genus Amanita." ... more

Hi, Charlie,
Yes, their fur is luxuriant--and that's been one of their problems, people like it too much. The big cats in No. Amer. do purr (cougar, lynx, bobcat) but the larger jaguar does not, nor do the big African cats. Thanks for your interest. Jalma
