Everyone can remember a moment in their life when a worry worried them. This book is a great resource for parents, teachers and guidance counselors. It helps make the worry visible in the form of a monster and teaches children that the feelings they feel are normal. I loved the recommendations the author and illustrator use to make the worry go away. In the eyes of a child a worry is a big thing. The author and illustrator realize this and provide a unique perspective on how kids view the world they live in. I read this book with a student that get nervous and anxiously frequently. This book was a great tool to start the discussion of worries and how to manage them.
