Now I can say ... I've read Michael Vey: Rise of the Elgen, and boy, did this one gab and zap and hold me captive right from the very first sentence and clear through to it's semi-climatic end, and I say semi-climatic end because ... I'm stuck, as I assume everyone else is who have read this 2nd book in what will hopefully be many, many more forthcoming books in the now growing (or is that glowing) Michael Vey Aventure Series, and let me tell you, I am ever so mad at Mr Evans for leaving me so high up on such a cliff-hanger, as I am afraid of heights! This was indeed ever so much better than the first book, well, maybe it wasn't better, but it was indeed packed with twists and turns, adventure, drama and ... a touch or two of ... fear! I am so looking foreward to Mr Evans' book 3 in this saga ... and what yet lies ahead for Michael, his Electroclan co-horts, the Elgen, Dr Hatch, Nichelle, yes, let us not ever forget about poor little Nichelle ... abandoned by Dr Hatch and shun by the Electroclans! Mr Evans has, whether purposely or by a sheer ingenious writing accident, managed to lay ground work for so many more and different ways that this plot and story line can go with new and even more exciting twists, turns and intrigue ... this truly could be the next and only real ... "Never Ending Story" ... for Michael, the Electroclans, Mr Evans ... and all of us!!! Bravo Mr Evans, Well done!!! I can now say that I have just purchased this book and I am eagerly awaiting its arrival, at which point I will begin reading it and let you know what I thought of it ... not that my poultry review would matter much to anyone because I'm such a nerdy novice, but, still in all, everyone can get a feel for the vast array of views from a variety of points of view. Let me say, I sincerely hope and pray that all who were in the path of Sandy and the storm that followed not long after are being cared for and looked after by all those who are ready, willing and able to go and give aid, comfort and support ... my heartfelt prayers are with all! I cannot give a review of this particular book at this time ... I haven't read it ..."YET"! The reviews of the book by multiple others has been overwhelmingly "Positive"!! So it looks as if I will be making a purchase soon to see what all the "Buzz" is about!! Goodness only knows how badly we need a descent good book for young readers today!!! I'm trying to write one now myself! Hope I succeed with my efforts. I've written dozens of "Children's Stories" ... many in rhyme.
