Her daughter, who helped her remember how to see the world with the imaginative eye of a child, was the inspiration for The Many Colors of Friendship.
It is important for children to realize that friends do come in many different colors, sizes and shapes. This fun and imaginative story helps children to realize that differences are not scary, but a very normal part of life today.
