About Risa
I'm a writer from Los Angeles. My first non-fiction book, Cinescopes: What Your Favorite Movies Reveal About You (Quirk Books), is available in bookstores now. I've just completed a young adult novel called Nutcracker Rats. My plays have been produced at The Kennedy Center and The Old Globe Theatre. I am inspired by kid's movies like Spirited Away and by books like The Secret Garden.
