Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Chrissie attended a precollege course at the Emily Carr College of Art and later moved to Ontario where she graduated from the Communication and Design program at the Ontario College of Art. Over the past 15 years Chrissie has been enjoying a successful carreer illustrating for a variety of clients and publishing companies. Her true to life yet whimsical illustrations can be found in both textbooks and children's literature.Chrissie is very involved in her community. In addition to library and school visits, she has taught a portraiture class at her local library and most recently completed designing and overseeing the painting of 5 large murals for a local school in which all 498 children in the school took part in painting and signing their names to the murals.
