My Mom encouraged creativity from an early age. We used to make up part of a story, then someone else in our family would continue it. I've loved to write stories since I was in the second grade. In particular children's stories.

This year I had the opportunity to read a chapter from my story "The Tales of Detective Kitty" at a local elementary school. The kids were great. They asked good questions and sent me a book they had made with notes and Detective Kitty illustrations. This was truly the highlight of my year!
