At the time, this topic was very much in the news. I wondered how boys/teachers got themselves into such situations. I didn't want the book to be just about sexual desire, but also about the underlying psychological reasons such relationships happen. My research helped me create a profile of the types of personalities prone to fall into this kind of problem and so PREY was born to expose and explain how these things can come about.
