Hi Bob, what a surprise for me the writer and artist. You must read the book to your younger folks. I created this story from my mind and studied the bay area while living in Stevensville, MD. It was a name I designed by the island name and a young child who I used to call Captain John. In his honor I called my pirate Captain John Bloodsworth.
There within the island became the home place of the Captain. My story starts from the location trying to teach kids about the Bay and its geography while following Captain John up the Bay. It would not have any significance to your research of the Bloodsworth family tree, I'm sorry to say. But thanks for writing me and I hope you take a look at the book.
