About Patti
Patti Trimble is a freelance textbook writer, essayist, published poet, and performer. Since 1986, she has written hundreds of stories, poems, and essays for student readers—from early readers through highschool—for textbook publishers such as Macmillan-McGraw-Hill, Prentice-Hall, and Harcourt.
Her stories of Gil the Ant, "Lost!" and "What Day is It?" were published as Green Light Readers as tradebooks by Harcourt Trade in 2003, and have won several awards.
Patti is also a published poet and performer. She was co-founder of the Tuolumne Poetry Festival in Yosemite. She works as a freelance writer and teacher, as workshop instructor for Yosemite and for Point Reyes National Seashore, and part-time writing professor for an American University Program in Siracusa, Sicily. Patti is a dynamic workshop faciliator with all age writers.
