About patrick
I am the first time author of a children's picture book entitled Creation, illustrated by Vincent Van Gogh. It tells the story of Creation, where God is an Artist, and Creation is his painting. It is 18 pages long, with a painting on most of the facing pages. I am just now starting on my journey towards hopefully getting it published, but I don't really have a clue how to go about it yet...

Gosh, Patrick, what a wonderful idea! I can envision the illustrations, however, there may be copyright issues with the use of Van Gogh's paintings, and to note, Piggy Press limits itself to bilingual publications for which the author must provide the illustrations. Sounds lovely, but my company does not publish anything but art projects for kids. You can see our guidelines on our website. Go to http://www.brightring.com and then find "Writer's Guidelines" in the left column. Most publishers have this service for you so you can find out if your book idea suits ... more
