The 2011 Bill Cosby Screenwriting Fellowship recipient earned an MFA from New York University's Tisch School of Arts and a Bachelor's Degree from Sarah Lawrence College. She holds memberships in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators.
