Chris McCloskey is proud to announce the publication of her first novel, The Adventures of Tooten and Ter, A Nose for Crime in December, 2013. The sequel, The Adventures of Tooten and Ter, A Tail To Hang It On will follow in early 2014. Both books will be available on Smashwords.com.
Chris is a wife and a mother of two grown children, a teacher, a writer, and a service-dog raiser. She and her husband love to travel, which is evidenced by the different cities used as settings for the various adventures of Tooten and Ter.
Chris got her first degree in art and spent ten great years as a production potter. Then she transitioned into teaching at different levels from kindergarten to college composition.
These days, she teaches adult ESL and online college composition. Her international students make every day in the classroom interesting. They have the gracious ambition of those who have known a time of uncertainty. She is the lucky one they call “teacher.”
Chris enjoys writing for and about middle-schoolers: those who embody rough edges. She likes the way they walk, the way they talk, and the things left unsaid.
