Maureen Bartone was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. She currently lives in Woodbury, Minnesota with her husband of 26 years. They have two daughters, one son and two grandsons. "Life in the Gumball Machine" is Maureen's first book and was inspired by her youngest daughter's fourth grade creative writing assignment.
