I'm a budding Children's book author. I'm also a disabled veteran that served 8 proud years in the United States Air Force. I then worked for The Department of Veterans Affairs for 2.5 years until my own disabilities worsened to where I could not maintain gainful employment.

I'm a stay at home mom (SAHM) to 2 kiddos. When I had to resign from my position with the VA, I thought I had "peaked" in life. Quite the contrary. With more free time, I tapped into my creativity.
I do canvas art, clothing art, batik art, www.hyenacart.com/eternalswirl
and I'm now an author going thru the publishing pipe line with Tate Publishing House for my first book.

Currently my very short children's book has left the editor and is on it's way to illistrations! I can't wait to see Beatrice LaBat come to life!

I joined here because I need a support group. Most books I've read are all about how to get published.......well, I've gotten that far.....what do I do when my book is actually released?
