Sashi, the Scared Little Sheltie is my first book and a "labor of love". This is a true story based on my adopted Shetland Sheepdog.

Sashi lost her first home for doing exactly what she was bred to do -- she chased (herded) everything that moved. Her original owners did not understand and decided to leave her at a shelter. Thankfully, the local Sheltie Rescue stepped in made sure she was adopted by someone who love and understand the nature of her breed.

Sashi's story is not unique -- so many dogs lose their homes because people buy dogs without researching the breed or thinking of the 12-15 year commitment they are making.

I am working on a series about Sashi's adventures as we go on to foster other shelties in need of forever homes. A portion of proceeds from book sales are being donated to Sheltie Rescue.
