Local author Leesa Toscano and Illustrator Janet Bodoff, both from NJ have teamed up to get the word out to children every where about eating healthier. Leesa wrote the children book for her daughter then three years old because she would not try any vegetables. Her daughter Melissa is now twenty one and has become a vegetarian.
Eat Your Vegetables is about a family who tries to get the youngest named Cinnamon to eat vegetables. Cinnamon doesn’t like to eat vegetables and instead she wants unhealthy foods such as pudding, cookies, cakes, candy, pancakes with syrup. Mommy, Daddy, her sisters Rosemary and Ginger eat their vegetables but Cinnamon does not. Cinnamon realizes that her older sisters are taller, stronger and smarter. Cinnamon would like to be taller, stronger and smarter than her family. How will Cinnamon live with a family of vegetarians? Does Cinnamon learn to like her vegetables?
Janet Bodoff illustrated the book. Leesa Toscano is a local author and community theater actress. Janet is a local artist and jewelry maker. Eat Your Vegetables is published and ready to order.

Auhtor Leesa Toscano is notable in her community as a published poet in various anthologies and a community theater actress. She is employed with Atlantic County as a Assistant Youth Coordinator/case manager. Eat Your Vegetables is her first book.
