About Roberta
I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. I have been married for 46 years and have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I'm now a retired elementary school teacher catching up on my illustration skills and writing children books.
I have 3 published books, 2 of which were Kumeyaay curriculums for the San Diego County School District; The Kumeyaay People, Secrets of the Trail. I Illustrated and wrote 3 children's books about the Kumeyaay, so teachers in my school district would have a resource to teach from. My Ancestor's Village was published by Sunbelt Publication and distributed thorough out the SD area in schools and libraries and parks. I give talks about the Kumeyaay at schools, libraries, book fairs and parks.
I am refining my art and teach art to children at various venues.
I am a volunteer archaeologist for the Colorado Desert Archaeology Association and have a strong interest in the various cultures of the world. I enjoy travel and museums and art.
