I am a freelance writer living in northern Indiana. I write for children's magazines, but I write for 'grown-up' magazines, too. I also write books for children. I have finished several picture book manuscripts, along with a middle grade novel. None of the books are published yet, but I'm working on that!

I belong to the Society of Book Writers and Illustrators, and am actively involved in our Indiana chapter of SCBWI. My writing group is comprised of several other fellow children's writers living in and around the area.

My 'day job', i.e. the job that pays the bills, is editing. I work for a company that edits documents and such for commercial businesses. Not nearly as interesting and creative as children's writing, but it does teach me to look for every little grammatical flaw in my own work.

If I'm not writing or editing, I can be found in the garden, reading a good book, chasing after my mischievous dogs, or spending time with my family.
