Valdez performed as a percussionist in various bands from 1968 till 1978. (Even now he still continues to play a little when old friends call.) He took the campaign from local appreciation to winning the best environment program in the State of Colorado and honored at the Keep America Beautiful 25th Anniversary as the third best program in the nation, for small cities. He was dedicated to keeping Aspen Clean.Valdez has founded and owned several businesses, including a solar engineering and installation company. He holds a degree in television production and operations from PTEC .He was a Videogropher on The New Explorers episode,” Manatees: Red Alert,” He co-produced the local award-winning automotive show,” Tampa Bay's AutoRama". Moon cookie RecipeNana’s MOON COOKIES .1 cup Butter (use only butter)1 cup of light brown sugar1 cup sugar2 cups flour2 ½ cups of oatmeal flour (blend oatmeal in coffee mill or blender)2 large eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla1 teaspoon baking soda ¼ teaspoon salt1 teaspoon baking power12oz premier white morsels 4oz premier white baking bars (slice into 1/8 thick squares) 1 ½ cups split cashews. Cream the butter with both sugars. Add eggs & Vanilla mix well. Add flour mix well.Add oatmeal flour mix well. Add salt, baking soda & baking power mix well.Now you need to use your hands. Add white morsels mix well. Add sliced white baking bars mix well.Add split cashews (you split them so they look like ¼ moons. Mix well. Roll into 1 inch balls place on Cookie sheet two inches apart. Bake for 10 minutes (no more than 10 minutes or they will get to Hard.) Pre-heat oven at 375 degrees.
