What makes me special?I don't know about that, but I can say that I enjoy my turn making dinner on Monday nights. I love writing late at night and I am an avid reader of Billy Collins.I am a published writer/poet currently working on a new project: Fruit of My Labor Poetry Series for children. The Fruit of My Labor series was inspired by my daughter, Alyssa and I've adopted the Poetry 180 Program from former Poet Laureate, BIlly Collins.
He has instilled in me, the utmost respect and I am a fan for life. Simply because he returned my phone call last September! We spoke briefly on the phone about me implementing my poetry series for children and he encouraged me to go for it!
I even contact the Library of Congress to verify and confirm my research, sort of like putting an official seal of approval on it - and they too encouraged me, that nothing like this exists, yet!
So, with preliminary copies in hand I contact and met with local schools Boards of Education and this whole idea is taking off! The schools seem to be very receptive to it.
