Our mission at GM Books is to provide a secure and supportive environment for either first-time or experienced authors who wish to see their manuscripts come to fruition rapidly and without the traditional delays or worse, abandonment of a property by a major publisher.

Self-Publishing experts for 33 years, GM Books was founded in Los Angeles in 1984 by William Dorich, the company was formed to offer an alternative to hundreds of rejection letters, and the pitfalls of conventional publishing in which the author surrenders all creative and editing rights. GM has published over 500 titles including Witness to War: Images of the Persian Gulf War for the Los Angeles Times which won a Pulitzer. Unlike the usual 10% royalty offered by major publishers, GM authors receive 60% of the net proceeds from the sale of their books.

William brings 20 years of printing experience and a background in commercial photography to GM Books. As the author of 5 books on Balkan history and music, his own unfortunate experience with a major publisher became the impetus for forming the company. His current books include: Defeat Foreclosure, (in it's 3rd Best Selling edition), The Nursing Home Crisis and Memoirs of a Serbian-American Dissident.

In 2008 GM Books published a child's FIRST "Press & Play" This Bible Talks, by Pamela Fischer, a storybook for pre readers. GM's newest books include: Nuclear Lies, Deceptions and Hypocrisies by Nuclear Scientists Mehdi Sarram, The Geek by Jonathan Latt, Serbia Faces and Places by Val Rajic and Bill Dorich, and Jo by Nigel Wyndham, author Viedelle Smith.
