Rhian studied Illustration at Bath Academy of Art, England and at Cooper Union in New York in the eighties, then got on to a vocational animation course in Cardiff, Wales. She worked freelance on the European Animation Feature Film scene for 12 years which took her to Berlin, Hamburg, Sweden and London, mainly as an assistant animator, on characters and special effects and finally moving on to background painting.
She met Ingo in Berlin while resident there for 5 years and together they started Sebolds originals. First came the Filzkins, hand felted character figures and after an exhibition in Japan it was clear that these characters demanded their story be told. And then came the book. Rhian and Ingo worked together on "The Filzkins Take Off" able to combine their varied skills in one project. Their other creative work can be seen on Seboldsoriginals.com.
