I'm an author and editor of books for children and adults. My nonfiction books include What's That Bird?: Getting to Know the Birds Around You, Coast to Coast (with Joseph Choiniere) and Communicating through Graphic Design (with Kevin Gatta), a high school textbook. I spent 23 years as an editor at Davis Publications, and became a freelancer in 2006. I've been published in the Washington Post, New England Monthly, The Worcester Review, and many smaller publications. I'm fond of the outdoors, hiking, history, art, and making pie.
