Libby, a retired champion racing greyhound, reminisces with PP, a grand champion show dog, and the Nut, a runt of an Italian greyhound with emotional problems—along with Aeolos, Libby’s old love. Libby recalls how a ghost, her feared nemesis Scar, a mystery package, and a stranger with a gun interfered with their plans to go to Hollywood so that PP could fulfill her contract to become a movie star.
Travel with the girls and their adopted family on the road from Florida to California. Along the way, detours and adventures await around every corner. Mommy, Gran Ma, and Daddy add to the craziness.

About Betsy S. Lee
Author Betsy S. Lee is an advocate for the adoption of ex-racing greyhounds. She is considered an expert on greyhounds, and has trained her greyhounds to help her as a therapeutic facilitator at Flagler Hospital, in St. Augustine, Florida. In that capacity, Betsy taped a PBS Animal Attractions episode for Pine Ridge Studios.
She has appeared on Good Morning Jacksonville, a regional TV show, and a few WFOY Radio shows promoting her book, OFF THE TRACK.
Because of her vigorous marketing plan, she has succeeded in selling more than 1,700 books in sixteen months.
OFF TO HOLLYWOOD is the sequel to OFF THE TRACK. This first book of the series received the Royal Palm Literary Award (First Place, Young Adult) from the Florida Writers Association. OFF THE TRACK is currently shelved at Barnes & Noble, Borders, and various other bookstores. It is available through The Distributors of South Bend, Indiana.
Betsy Lee was a featured author at the 2008 Amelia Island Book Festival, and was a guest author at the 2nd annual Florida Heritage Book Festival which took place in St. Augustine in September 2009.
Betsy is a member of the National League of American Pen Women and the Florida Writers Association.
