Hi I'm Bee, illustrator from Melbourne, Australia, and this is my story... From a very young age, I would spend hours creating all sorts of scribbly crayon masterpieces in my scrapbook. Through childhood and teens, I tried my hand at many artistic pursuits including music, dance and metalsmithing, but found the greatest joy in creating images on paper. In my late teens, I developed a slight obsession with all things mid-century. Love affairs with artists such as The Beatles, The Kinks, Mary Quant, Charlie Harper, Eyvind Earle, Grant Featherston and Verner Panton (to name but a few) continue to influence my style. Over the past three years, I worked as an in-house illustrator/designer for a greeting card company by day, and freelance illustrator by night. Currently I work at a local flower farm and spend my afternoons illustrating. I occasionally enjoy getting creative with a dry martini in hand... two olives!
