I am a published author and the translator of more than 100 books on a variety of subjects, including cookery, wine, archaeology, history, business administration and fungi (4 books). My own work focuses on history (two Jewish histories) travel (All Israel) and cookery (14 books, most recent "Exotic Fruits & Vegetables" won a Gourmand Prize in 2006) and my most recent book is a field guide to mushrooms and toadstools (not yet in print). My most successful book to date "Jewish Cooking from Around the World", published by Barrons in the USA sold 117,000 copies. In addition to editing, I am also an americanizer/angliciser, having lived in the USA for four years, where I worked as a journalist and court interpreter, and where most of my early books were published. My latest book, due out in June is "An Introduction to the Mushrooms and Toadstools of Britain and Northern Europe".
