I was born on a share cropper's cotton farm in the Texas panhandle. Grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Texas Tech U. in Lubbock, TX. Moved to New York City, lived on Mulberry St. in Little Italy, found an agent and moved upstate to Port Jervis, NY. 17years later I moved back to Amarillo. I continue to work through the same agent as before, Kirchoff/wohlberg but I have branched out into Stained Glass windows and chandeliers for churches, sculpture, printmaking, and my latest love, writing. My wife and I have a little cabin in New Mexico mountains near Taos where we read.paint and write, hang out at the coffee houses where old hippies go, and of course, fish. The subjects in which I like to work are nature, history, action, and fantasy. I work mostly in watercolor and pen & ink. I hope this does not sound pompous but I love illustration and whether we write or illustrate we are storytellers that leave indelible impressions on young and sometimes not so young minds.
