Anne M. Jenks, Rph, Pharm. D

Greetings readers!
I grew up in beautiful northeast Iowa. After graduation from the University of Iowa with a Pharm D (Doctorate of Pharmacy) I lived on the west coast for a few years. Now, I live in Wisconsin with my family.
I am a pharmacist and mother of two. After practicing pharmacy for over 15 years, I have helped many a parent with medications for their children.
Patients often ask a pharmacist for advice on a variety of other topics relating to their children’s general health as well. Helping parents as a pharmacist provides an excellent foundation to write children stories that are also helpful parenting tools.
Hands on experience with my own children helps as well.
Implementing the three E’s in my books is a key focus. Engage, entertain, and educate your audience. well illustrated pages attract the attention of younger children while adding a bit of humor to engage to reader into the heart of the story.
My first two books even have a separate, small section at the end of the story that is directed towards parents/caregivers and contains helpful bits of information.
