The author of LEFT SHOE RIGHT SHOE, my first picture book that introduces the concept of left and right to young children. I began writing in 2004 after taking on the role as a new mom where I witnessed firsthand how reading great books not only impacted my son's development but also inspired his own love of reading. Those first years with my child sparked the beginning of my interest in writing, children's books and promoting reading. As an author, my goal is to develop enjoyable children's books that teach ordinary things in charming new ways. As the founder and editor of Storytime Favorites (www.storytimefavorites.com), my mission is to "celebrate the magic of children's books" and help get quality books in the hands of all children.

Born and raised in Texas, I now live in southern California with my husband, young son, three stepchildren and two dogs. I'm an avid supporter of reading programs and child advocacy programs. My hobbies include reading, painting, photography and sports. I love spending time with my family and close friends, being involved with my son's school activities and meeting regularly with my mom's group and book club. I am currently working on my next children's picture book.
