I'm an full-time illustrator, writer, children's entertainer, and cartoon cartographer. I own a cartoon map company called Fun Maps USA. I do lots of school assembly programs and other speaking engagements using a giant easel and markers. The Trowbridge Chronicles is my story blog. Many people think that I write it, but it is actually written and illustrated by Violet Trowbridge, the little Trowbridge shrew that you see in my avatar. I write and/or illustrate books, mostly kids books. My daily syndicated comic strip is called Health Capsules. It's syndicated through United Features Syndicate. Other than that, I'm not all that busy.

For many years I illustrated my work traditionally, with watercolors, Dr. Martin's Dyes, acrylics, markers, airbrush and colored inks. But about four years ago I got dragged against my will into digital illustration. Now all my work is digital. I draw on paper and color in Photoshop.

My wife's name is Jacquie. She's a great helpmate, especially with my deadlines. Our boys are Brad, 24, and Eric, 22.
