Born English, done stuff, some I'll talk about, some I won't. Became Australian, but feel Swiss. Getting older, but no wiser. Started my working life in the Marines, then became an archaeologist, then a writer. My home is the ocean. My 'me' time is spent sailing, diving, exploring wild and lonely places, going for long walks, falling in love, reading, photographing, going to the theatre and the movies. I still do the odd bit of archaeology. I'm working on a screenplay - 'Cry of the Dreamer' - and it's just about finished. What gets me through? All the above, I guess. Favourite pieces of wisdom? Life isn't measured by how many breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away (someone else); I was born without memory, I'll die without regrets (me). No religion as befits someone with Darwin in his family tree. Favourite music? Depends on where I am and who I'm with. Favourite food? Just about any, but I'm not as fond of hot spicey dishes as I was. Ambition? To be an actor; it's what I should have done instead of the military, but no regrets.
