I am a graphic artist, designer, illustrator, writer, poet, and cat lover. I have taught classes in poetry, calligraphy and serigraphy for adults and kids. I have worked with computers for many years and had my own business in computer graphics and desktop publishing. I also like to work in stained glass, and I make fantastic origami beaded cranes. I wrote and illustrated "The Adventures of Tootsie Cat" for my son Matt; it was designed as a coloring book with a simple story about our cat. Matt took it to school and the teacher read it to all the kids and he was so proud of it. I still smile when I see his dog-eared copy on his bookshelf. I adopted Sunny Cat from a shelter where I volunteered when he was only 6 months old. I finished writing and illustrating "Funny Things That Sunny Does" and was working on "Sunny's Diaries: The Kitten Chronicles" when Sunny passed away at age 19. The Kitten Chronicles was meant to document his reaction to two litters of kitties that I fostered. My most recent project is a collection of illustrated haiku poems for my brother Mike and sister-in-law Heidi's cat, called "The Pooku: Haiku for Pooka" (see cover in My Picture Gallery). Mike and Heidi were my co-authors on the poems and Heidi also co-illustrated. Pooka provided the humor and inspiration. I recently posted three e-books onto Amazon.com under the Kindle e-book section (see the Kitty Boy series or search under kitty haiku or our names). We are at the final draft stage for the sequel with a working title of "Pooku Two: Postcards from Hawaii" which records Pookie's indignant reaction to Mike & Heidi taking a vacation without him. We are actively looking for an agent or publisher, or anyone who has been there/done that and can give us some pointers!
