When not writing historical fiction, Mr. Mills delights his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with STUFFINESE, the adventures of Henry Wadsworth Longears and the Mills’s youngest daughter, Alexandra, when she and her soft, pliable toy rabbit were still able to speak and understand the language of stuffed animals.
For 27 years, Mr. Mills was a journalist on the staff of the NBC TV & Radio affiliate in Rochester, NY. His assignments included a daily 4-hour radio talk show and the 6 & 11 PM TV news/weather/sports. During his nearly three decades in broadcasting, he interviewed hundreds of celebrities, sports personalities, and political household names. "I was the only journalist with V.P. Nelson Rockefeller on September 5, 1975, when Secret Service agents notified him Lynette 'Squeaky' Fromme had (possibly) shot President Ford. I had Rocky sequestered in the men’s room at the Chamber of Commerce, and I thought I was going to have the exclusive first interview with the new president.”
Mr. Mills lives in metro Atlanta with his wife, and Sam, their Bichon terror.
